What do I do if I want to finish on the 50-yard-line but I don’t want to do the whole distance?
We would ask that if you want to get a race bib so that you can cross the finish line that you sign up for the Fun Run so that you don’t get a timing tag. You will then be allowed to join in as people finish the Fun Run and enter Jordan–Hare Stadium. We would ask that you do so in a timely fashion after the Fun Run participants start finishing as not to impact the finish experience for the 5K, 10K, 1/2 Marathon 2-Person Relay and 1/2 Marathon participants.
How does the 1/2 Marathon 2-Person Relay work?
The ½ Marathon 2-person relay will allow teams of 2 participants to each run half the distance of the 13.1 mile race. There will be a transition area at the ½ Marathon turn-around (near Chewacla State Park) where teams can either leave a vehicle or use provided transportation for access to and from. We will have an area near Tiger Walk so that Team member can re-join each other so that they can finish together (not required). Teams will share a timing chip which will be passed to the second participant at the transition area.
